Swiss food producer SUN AG is entering Extreme E for the 2024 campaign with its own racing outfit – SUN Minimeal Team. They will be led by German Timo Scheider, who will act as Team Principal as well as race for the SUN Minimeal team, and will be partnered by Sweden’s Klara Andersson.

Sharing the championship’s commitments towards raising awareness of the climate crisis and pioneering environmental solutions to reduce emissions, SUN AG has joined Extreme E to showcase its latest food innovations from Switzerland, as well as highlight the importance of global resources in nutrition and food waste.

Two-time DTM champion Scheider has been part of the championship since its inception, firstly as Championship Driver and then as a full-time racer in the series. Alongside Scheider will be Extreme E race winner Andersson. Like Scheider, Andersson joined the series as a Championship Driver, but progressed to a race seat with ABT CUPRA XE where the Swede took victory in Uruguay in 2022 as well as three further podium finishes.
