New reflective chrome livery for Season 3 show car

To draw focus to the global issues we face today, the reflective base of the livery creates a literal mirror of the physical surroundings around the car. This not only highlights immediate problems in the surrounding environment, but encourages the wider Extreme E audience to look inwards at the impact we all have.

On closer inspection, the Season 3 show car also introduces a new topographic pattern, which is a nod to the racing and the extreme terrain the drivers face.

Through form and function, this special edition livery encapsulates Extreme E’s advocation of environmental awareness through the most exciting motorsport action possible.

The Season 3 show car was revealed in line with the announcement of the Hydro X Prix’s location in the former Glenmuckloch opencast coal mine site in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland (13-14 March).

Extreme E will be releasing its Season 2 Sustainability Report in the coming weeks, which will include facts such as the series’ carbon footprint.

This aims to compliment the Report for Season 1, which detailed the series’ journey to becoming carbon neutral by the end of its first season.

Building on the success of the past two seasons, and the addition of a whole new racing format, Extreme E Season 3 promises to captivate on and off track on a whole new level, whilst delivering on its overall purpose to tackle climate change through sport. The next doubleheader will be the Hydro X Prix in Scotland, 13-14 March.
