Alejandro Agag nominated as Trailblazer in this year's Leaders Sports Awards

The Leaders Sports Awards uncover, highlight and celebrate the individuals and organisations that are shaping the global sports industry. The Trailblazer award recognises leaders who are forcing change, breaking barriers, treading new ground and exerting influence in global professional sport.

Alejandro is a pioneer for innovative, sustainable motorsport and was instrumental in the launch of Extreme H earlier this year – the world’s first hydrogen racing series that begins in 2025 – which was delivered to global acclaim.

Alongside Extreme E, Alejandro has also overseen the inaugural season of the UIM E1 World Championship in 2024 as Chairman of the series, while the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship – which Alejandro was the brainchild of and remains as Chairman – has just completed its tenth season.

All three championships form PIF’s Electric 360 partnership, which aims to support the growth of electric motorsports and their role in advancing the future of electric mobility.

BAFTA 195 Piccadilly will play host to the Leaders Sports Awards 2024 on 15 October 2024.

On being shortlisted for the Award, Alejandro Agag said: “I am delighted to be shortlisted for the Leaders Sports Awards in the Trailblazer category. It is great to receive such positive recognition from those across the sporting industry, and testament to what Extreme E has achieved as a championship since launching."
